Keep the email niceties brief:
While it is fine to offer a brief, warm greeting at the outset of your email, it can also be distracting if too long. Business emails do not require summaries of your weekend golf game or your opinion on the weather.
Put your action needed up front, then place niceties, chitchat or other background information at the end of your email so your message is not lost.
When closing your email, a simple “Thank you,” or “Take care,” is always appropriate. Don’t waste time giving email niceties too much thought…you have a whole to-do list to conquer during a productive day!
