Yep, my momma said there would be days like this…

… chasing something that always felt just out of reach. On that spinning wheel, scrapping with the competition to get to that prize. And even stumbling with the effort at times.
When I saw this video on YouTube recently, it made me smile. And it really got me thinking about how much my life used to feel like those cats on the wheel.
I had goals I was chasing, but I really wasn’t getting anywhere.
And, now that I think about it, keeping all of my priorities from falling through the cracks sometimes felt a lot like herding cats!
We can lose so much time and money chasing our tails. (Sorry, I couldn’t resist!)
But learning to be more effective – in all we do – can change the game.
That’s why effective is the theme for this week.
Learning to be more effective in how we use our time, map out the path to our goals, choose what we focus on, and manage our financial resources is how we get off the spinning wheel to nowhere and start getting those game-changing results.
So, I encourage you to give some thought to what you’re doing each day and how well your results reflect your effort this week.
Maybe start by taking a moment now to reflect on these questions…
1. Am I effectively using my time and focusing on the tasks and activities that are moving me closer to my goals?
It’s so easy to get caught up in the chaos of conflicting priorities and the daily whirlwind of things that seem important, but really aren’t. Identifying the tasks you can hand off to someone else will free up time in your day to focus on the things that do matter.
2. How clear am I on what my goals are and what needs to happen to get me there?
The time you spend thinking this through may seem like time you don’t have, but taking the time to go through this exercise now will save you time down the road.
When you clarify what you want and create the map for getting there, the process of reaching those goals becomes far more efficient and your efforts become far more productive – and effective.
3. How effective is my system for managing my money? Will the way I’m handling my money get me to my financial goals?
Having a system and a strategy for managing your money is so important! After all, the money you make is what fuels your business goals, as well as your personal financial goals.
You don’t have to be a billionaire to have wealth. You just need to have a plan and a system that builds wealth using what you have.
I have free resources available to help you gather insight and create a plan in all of these areas. You can access and download any or all of them by clicking the big, blue button below.
And, always remember, having effective support is also a key component to successfully building that business of your dreams.
Whether it’s a mastermind group, a good friend who is also a business owner, or a business coach, make sure you have someone in your corner who can help you jump off the endlessly spinning wheel to nowhere and stop chasing your tail should the need arise.
