THE “DREADED” TASK

dreads day 25

We all have tasks at work we just can’t stand to do. We write it on our to-do list for today and don’t cross it off, then write it on our to-do list for tomorrow, and still don’t cross it off. It continues to roll over to the bottom of every day’s to-do list, yet it is something that NEEDS to be done!

Whether it’s adding new contacts to your client database, making copies of old files you need to transfer to the computer , or even starting a new blog entry, begin to tackle it.

Practice the 10-minute rule. Work on a dreaded task for 10 minutes each day. Once you get started, you may find you can finish it. If not, at least you’ve started it and will finish it eventually. This is a great place to use a timer or online alarm.

Give it a try tomorrow morning, and leave us a comment about how it worked for you?
